Visa Information

Ιf you need a visa to travel to Greece, you should contact your local Greek consulate to have one issued.  We advise you act early to ensure your visa is processed in time for travel. The Conference cannot contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office abroad on your behalf so please begin your visa application process as soon as you determine that you want to attend the IEEE ICASSP 2023.

  • For your visa application you will need an invitation letter from the conference registration desk. Please contact Brianna Orr (borr@conferencecatalysts.com).
  • Make sure to provide as much information as possible to avoid delays in receiving your letter (we need complete name, mailing address, and any other details that your country of residence requires for your visa application, see more information here: https://2023.ieeeicassp.org/registration-fees-and-benefits/#visa).
  • You must register for the conference before requesting an invitation letter.
  • Please note that no registration refunds will be given to those who have received Invitation Letters.

While many nationalities can visit Greece visa-free, some require a visa to enter. You can determine whether you need a visa here:

https://www.mfa.gr/en/visas/visas-for-foreigners-traveling-to-greece/countries-requiring-or-not-requiring-visa.html.

Greece is part of the Schengen area. Therefore, if you have a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa, you can use it to enter. If not, Schengen rules require that you apply at the consulate of the country you intend to visit (i.e., Greece).
