Intercontinental travel:

Arriving is relatively easy, with convenient connections at major European and Turkish airports, or direct flights to Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete and Kos and from there a choice of plane or ship to get to Rhodes. In general, for intercontinental travel, no more than 1 stop should be required to get to the island.

By ship

A more scenic but slower method of getting to the island is by boat. One can board one of the frequent ferries to Rhodes, from Athens’ ports. The trip should take about 10-12 hours. It is also possible to take a ferry from the Turkish ports of Fethiye and Marmaris.

Alternatively, if visiting another island before Rhodes, you can arrive dirrectly from the Dodecanese islands, but also from islands in farther complexes, namely the Cyclades and the Sporades, or from the island of Crete. Indirectly, island-hopping is also an option which allows one to visit Rhodes by boat from virtually any location in Greece.

Detailed information on how to book travel by boat will be added closer to the conference dates.
