Access to Rhodes town and Rodos Palace Luxury Convention Resort

Rhodes International Airport “Diagoras” is located on the west side of the island, north of the village “Paradisi”, about 11 km of the Rodos Palace Luxury Convention Resort and 14 km southwest of the capital city, Rhodes. For more information, click here.

During the summer months other than the Aegean Airlines flights, there are many charter and low cost flights that connect Rhodes with various international airports. At least five flights per day arrive to Rhodes from Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

The appointed local travel agent, Travel Exchange has arranged round airport bus transfer service which is provided at several times throughout the day, on Saturday June 3, Sunday June 4 and Monday June 5 for the arrival dates and on Friday June 9, Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11 for the departure dates.

Bus service by Travel Exchange

During June, traffic at the airport is extremely busy with numerous flights arriving from all over the world. Many times, it is rather difficult to get a taxi and waiting time at queues can be exhausting and tiring.

For this reason, we have arranged for round ticket shuttle services at a special rate, especially organized for the ICASSP 2023 participants, provided by Travel Exchange. The round ticket cost is € 12 per person. The time schedules fit the daily arrival times of Aegean and Olympic Airways from Athens and Thessaloniki (Saturday June 3, Sunday June 4 and Monday June 5), as well as the departure times of Aegean and Olympic Airways for Athens and Thessaloniki (Friday June 9, Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11). A minimum of 15 passengers per bus is required; otherwise, the bus transfer may be cancelled. In case of cancellation, a notification will be sent to travelers at least 48 hours prior to arrival.

A hospitality desk will be operated at the airport for the ICASSP 2023 participants. If you buy airport transfer bus tickets, you will be guided by volunteer members to the bus. Those who arrive or depart from Rhodes via a charter flight please check the time schedules below and make a reservation if the time of the bus departure suits your timing.

Taxis can be easily found at the station outside the airport. An average journey by taxi to Rodos Palace should take approximately 20 – 30 minutes, and its cost should be approximately € 25 – 27 per way. The cost of taxis is fixed and posted at the airport. A table of taxi cost per route will be posted here soon.

Public bus service is also available, takes you from the airport to the center of Rhodes town in approximately 40 minutes and the ticket costs € 2.50. The bus stops also at the Rodos Palace Luxury Convention Resort in the way to town.

Access to Rodos Palace Luxury Convention Resort from Rhodes port

Rhodes Port is located only 8 km from Rodos Palace Luxury Convention Resort.

The fastest way to get to Rodos Palace if you arrive by boat is to take a taxi.

The taxi cost is aprox. € 15.

Public transportation in Rhodes

Visitors can easily get to the attractions around Rhodes, as well as to the picturesque villages, by using the extensive, zoned network of buses. Rodos Palace Luxury Convention Resort is also serviced by the local public bus transportation system. Buses from and to Rhodes town and the villages of the island, run approximately every 15 min., and the bus ticket cost is approximately € 1,40- € 3,00.
