Greece – Travel and Tourism forecast for 2023
Greece has recovered quickly from the pandemic shock, with especially the Hotels segment seeing an increase in bookings. A strong tourism demand is forecasted for 2023 despite the general uncertainty concerning additional COVID-19 variants and the geopolitical situation in Eastern Europe that may inhibit outbound travel. According to local municipal officials, Rhodes Island had broken in 2022 all previous records for the tourism sector, including that of 2019, with an even higher projection for 2023. Because of the high season anticipated demand for hotel rooms, we urge our attendees to try reserving their hotel rooms as soon as possible to secure their accommodation.
ICASSP 2023 Organizing Committee has secured a number of rooms for the conference period at our conference venue, the Rodos Palace Luxury Convention Resort, the Sheraton Rhodes Resort, Marriott, the Rhodes Bay Hotel & Spa, and Mediterranean Hotel, which are located on the hillside and in the heart of Rhodes.
Ixia – Ialysos area (conference venue)
Ixia area is only 4 km away from Rhodes city center. This is one of the most cosmopolitan areas on the island on Rhodes, and an extremely popular choice with those seeking high-quality accommodation near the town of Rhodes. Long, partly pebbly, partly sandy, and usually wavy, the beach is mostly preferred by windsurfers.

The two hotels are in a distance radius of 700 meters in Ixia – Ialysos area.
The five-star Rhodes Bay is added also in this page. Rhodes Bay is located next to Sheraton, 850m from our conference venue.
The four-star Mediterranean Hotel, lies at a super nice location, in the edge of the town, next to the Aquarium beach and the Casino, and close to the main venue (4.6 km).
All four hotels will offer rooms to ICASSP participants until a certain date (cut-off date), or before, if the room block allocated for our conference is sold out. After the cut-off day, the hotels will release any unsold rooms and rooms will become available on request basis.

These will be possible to book at special rates for ICASSP attendees, but no block of rooms will be held by the Organizing Committee.
