By ship
A more scenic but slower method of getting to the island is by boat. One can board one of the frequent ferries to Rhodes, from Piraeus-Athens’ port. The trip should take about 10-12 hours.

It is also possible to take a ferry from the Turkish ports of Fethiye and Marmaris.
Alternatively, if visiting another island before Rhodes, you can arrive directly from the Dodecanese islands, but also from islands in farther complexes, namely the Cyclades and the Sporades, or from the island of Crete. Indirectly, island-hopping is also an option which allows one to visit Rhodes by boat from virtually any location in Greece.
Detailed information on how to book travel by boat will be added closer to the conference dates.
